what?

Postby tsenecal » Wed Aug 07, 2013 11:08 pm

okay, here goes:

scenario a)
login from the board index, everything is fine.

scenario b)
read a few topics, find one i want to comment on, try to login from that page, rather than the board index, login doesn't work.

just letting you know...

thanks

Tim,

When you go to post a reply, are you no longer logged into the forum? Is the forum prompting you to login or are you trying to do a login before hitting the 'reply' button?

to dumb down the scenario:

i can only login from the "Board Index" page. any other page, and the login appears to fail.

That's not dumbing it down.....that definitely helps!

As I recall, there is a bug in the phpBB software that causes that problem. I'll let Ronald, our forum code expert weigh in here, but I believe this means we need to log in at the forum board level and not the individual sub-forum/topic level. As long as you check the box that says to keep you logged in, there shouldn't be a problem.

Ronald, if I've mis-remembered this, please correct!

thanks for reporting this.
I do know about it but sadly I'm not expert enough to actually be able to figure out what goes wrong or how fix it up till now.
I'll have another look, time permitting, someday...

Ronald van Aalst
