I am working on trimming the boat out.
It is a long process. BD.

I had a in pool test Saturday and the boat ran great.
Even though my dog bone fell out in reverse. :D :( :)
A few shims fixed the issue.
The hard tank ballast worked very well.
Now I can put on the external doodads and paint the hull.
Then try to get some in pool shots. BD.

I do have some video.
I have to get it up on utube.
It's not the best video.

I will get some photos of the sub buttoned up.
I guess the method of separation went well as a friend of mine could not figure out where the split was. BD.

Here is the video.
I still had trapped air in the bow in this test.
I have added more vents under the decks. BD.

Even if someone makes a surface runner out of it it will still be quite impressive.

David
you're using the stock kit rudder and stern/bow plane piece here right? Can you tell me how you affixed them to the operating shafts?

Thanks.

She is done except for the dull coat.
Should get some in water shots this weekend.
I went with the non scale antifoul red for waterline down again.
It just a quick basic detailing but the 23 still looks good. 8)
I still find it hard to believe the model companies are making subs this big.
But I am not complaining.

I used all the kit surfaces for my build.
I glued square brass tubing inside of the parts.
The planes and rudder then slide on to the next size smaller square tubing and are pined with .032 brass pins.
The pins are a friction fit and can easily be pushed out for surface removal.
