Can I buy you dinner?

Postby Thor » Fri Mar 15, 2013 2:48 pm

I will be teaching an advanced engineering course in Las Vegas, NV during the third week of April. If we have any SC members who would like to join me for dinner that week and talk subs, I would be more than happy to buy you a nice dinner. Of course, since it has been 25 yrs since I have been to Las Vegas, I will be relying on you to point me in the right direction for a good place to eat!

Best Mexican in Vegas. Forget the stuff on the strip, that's for the tourists.

If you like Thai food,
Pin Kaow Thai Resturant, 1974 North Rainbow Blvd., 89108 They have opened two other locations, but I have only eaten here. http://www.pinkaowthai.com

Another Mexican restaurant that is not traditional, they market themselves as Modern Mexican is Cantino Laredo in the Tivoli Village - http://www.cantinalaredo.com

Recently Las Vegas has changed and we are getting a lot of incredible restaurants.

Here are some:
I like Bobby Flay's restaurant at Caesar's, Mesa Grill. http://www.mesagrill.com/las-vegas-restaurant/

Public House at the Venetian, 100s of beers and great food. http://www.publichouselv.com

Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay, Oooh the truffle Mac and Cheese is life changing! http://www.mandalaybay.com/dining/stripsteak/

Bon Appetit!
