Success!

After gluing and sanding the excess glue, then sanding some more when it was too hard to close the bayonet locking ring
it works, now all i need to do is drill a hole for the mast system and a few more drain holes for the casing and it should be ready for pool trials

Well done and looks great in the water.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
