updating of vendor list on subcommittee-dot-com

Have an idea for the web site?

updating of vendor list on subcommittee-dot-com

Postby roedj » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:01 pm

Sirs,

The vendor list on subcommittee.com is in some serious need of updating.

A lot of the vendor links are dead or totally non-existent especially in the 'kits' section.

Thanks for your time.

Dan,

Many thanks for the reminder. That list of vendors is very, very out of date. I've asked the officers to look into getting it updated.

Well......(since you asked!).....would you like to volunteer to create an updated list? Once the information is available, our webmaster (Paul Crozier) can get the site updated.

Jeff,

I asked for that didn't I?

What are the rules?

1) Does a vendor pay to be listed?

2) How many words can they write about themselves?

3) Does their business have to have some sub related products? I ask this because I see Dream Arts still on the list. I know they used to have sub related products but now appear to have only model train products. They should be removed - right?

4) Any other criteria that I must know to 'sell' this service.

I don't have an abundance of time for this but I have some. Just don't set any crazy deadlines and I'll give it a go. Also, to be very clear on this, I will NOT be a part of any internecine vendor wars. If I get any whiff on that such as," No, he can't be listed because he once said a nasty word about (fill in blank)," then I'm outta here. This hobby is small enough as it is without small minds making it any smaller.

Pete,

I went to your web site link and it worked although there were no pictures. Is that correct?

I then went your "PROTOCOL" link to order and got the ever popular ERROR 404 Not Found

Dan,
It is correct. In the process of updating. Just set up the domain with the service provider. The site will be completed soon. But that is the new URL.
Thanks.
