1:5th SCALE DELTA SUBMERSIBLE SCRATCH BUILD X2

Postby dhffr » Sat Sep 11, 2010 1:30 pm

Just wanted to post a teaser shot of my current project. Scratch built 2 hulls. 1 is for a friend who built the cylinders and electronics. Model will not be going into any type of production. Molds have been destroyed per the original agreement. Read the build thread in the SubPirates build contest here:

Here are the near final hulls. Mine was weathered and the other was left clean.

Thanks Dave,

Started on the small WTC you sent me. Will be posting that one as soon as I get the hull and parts.

Will got his boat in the water last week. Was very impressed with his setup. We found that a pitch controller was not necessary for most running. I will be leaving mine out and copying Wills lead and foam setup.
Ran great with the perfect amount of power.

it is very hard to see any difference with the small delta (by Norbert Brueggen). Great work !
given the size, you will be able to fit in not only a camera but a small recording studio ;-)
