Need gun kits for OTW Type VII

Postby Bob the Builder » Tue Nov 16, 2010 6:56 am

I'm doing a customer build right now for U-995, a Type VII boat. The gun parts in the kit are not, unfortunately, the correct type for this boat. My research shows that I need the following:

One 3.7 cm Flak M 42

Two 2 cm Zwillings Flak.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a kit out there for each in 1/32 scale (or I guess 1:35 is standard?), or am I going to need to scratch build them?

Thanks!

Tamiya do a kit for the M 42 in 1/35th scale.

Can't find 'owt for the zwillings.

Thanks, Andy. I found a kit for the big rear flak, but I'm SOL on the smaller twin anti-aircraft guns. I did find a kit, however they appear to be out of stock and there is no ETA on delivery. Worst case scenario is that I can scratchbuild the pair from the parts in the OTW kit. I think they'll work really well...

Thanks!

accurate armor makes a 1/35 scale model of a 2cm naval gun, you might be able to adapt it.
