Matt,
http://www.modelluboot.de/ has a ballfish that resembles the Delphin. Perhaps you could do a kit similar to this for the standard boat to use in the races. Camlock would be a great addition to the kit.

Frank,

He still manufactures that boat. We can get that one!

Norbert also has a new Delphin in the works, although it may be a hull only as opposed to a full kit like the original. It's a bit bigger than the old kit (1/10th scale versus. 1/12th), but has a more accurate hull profile, and still very portable.

He also does a mini ballfish which is about two-thirds the size of the standard version.

Thanks, Andy! Norbert has not said anything to me about the new Delphin. I just sent him off an inquiry....

It's in the 2010 catalogue pdf on his site.

http://modelluboot.de/Anleitungen/Uboot_Katalog_10.pdf

Also there is a link on his page to the build blog-

http://delphinuboot.wordpress.com/

Video on that link too.

Yeah, I have the new catalog and saw that, but it is not available to me yet as it does not show up on the 2010 dealer sheet....I will see whats up with it. Sent him an email asking about its status....I asked him before about the 1/12th and he relayed that the model would no longer be produced.

That's true- been out of production for sometime. Shame really- it was a great kit for beginners and experienced builders alike.
