That's looking great Kevin.
Is that a ruddy brown on the bottom, or something of a brighter red? It's hard to tell in the photo, but it looks very red. What is the correct color for this boat?

its really a red orange on the boat. I thought about goig and getting paint chipping and getting a color match done. Then I thought what the hell and used a rust colored primer instead :)

Will do Kevin, although be aware that at this time I'm still planning to use very small rocket motors with electric ignition for my cruise missiles.

Your Ohio is looking great- I can't wait to see it sailing next to big ole' Delta IV for comparison!

So K.P., are you saying the real color is more red than the ruddy brown that primer is?

I am saying its more orange its like a dark red orange. Gotta remember to adjust the color for scale though.

Hatch masters are in the rubber as we speak :)

Well the Ohio missile hatch isnt as complicated as the ones of the Oscar but they are still cool!

Here is what mine looks like fresh out of the mold.

Only 3 more to go.

Very cool! That looks great. Now you're going to make the missile dome on top of the tube, right?

I'm trying to come up with a cam that will run the length of the missile deck and open and close mine in sequence.

I dunno Kevin, that looks plenty complicated to me. And from what I've seen it's a fantastic representation. Very well done!

Nice work Kevin!
You should strike up a deal with Pete, or sell the hatch covers you cast up, as an upgrade to this fine kit. There probably would not be many, but the would be appreciated.

Kevin: Thanx man I appreciate it. I left out a few smaller details because it would have made casting a bigger pain!

Of course I'll sell a set to any one who wants some. That door is a pain to cast though :) Ill redo the molds for that one if anyone has interest :) Reworking a mold that came out ok is fine for me but you guys deserve better ! :)
