RC Submarines in Depth Power Point CD - ready to ship

Know of an upcoming modeling event?

Postby TMSmalley » Wed Aug 20, 2003 9:28 am

Well, I finally got a number of copies made of my "RC Submarines in Depth" computer-based slide presentation on CD. I have Mark's, Jim's and Elliot's ready to go out but I know there were a couple more people who asked me for a copy at the SubRegatta - of course I have forgotten who they were :p

The show is a BASIC rundown on the RC submarine hobby for people who know NOTHING about rc submarines, including a bunch of photos, several videos, sound effects and movies. I put it together as a primer on RC subs for my scale boat club in Minneapolis, and I previewed it at the Saturday evening SubRegatta meeting.

UPDATE 07 October ~ KOEZE has posted my RC Submarines in Depth on his webspace for free download for a limited time. Thanks for the assist EJK! It's a long download even with high speed access.

All the files together form a selfextracting archive. Download all the files into one folder and start the RcSubsInDepth.part01.exe

Sure! Name and address to mail the CD please -
it's way too large for email.

I have sent out about 20 of these so far. I hope they are used to spread the Word about RC subs to the heathen masses.

For those interested in the Powerpoint "RC Submarines in Depth" CD Rom. I have uploaded the contents to my web space. I'll leave everything there until november 1st 2003 so download what you want and make sure you have everything.
The total cd rom consists of some 27 1,5MB files. All files are checked for virusses with Norton Antivirus 2003 with the latest virusdefinitions.

Adress one.
Files 01 - 16
Files 17 - 27

All the files together form a selfextracting archive. Download all the files into one folder and start the RcSubsInDepth.part01.exe

Files are property of, and uploaded with permission of, Tim Smalley.
I offer this service to save him some money and allow everybody to download this slideshow and help "spread the word"

If anyone has trouble downloading, drop me an email WITH YOUR MAILING ADDRESS and I will send a copy of the CD.

Someone sent me a request for a CD awhile ago and I lost it (doh!) I guess I have no right to rag on vendors. :p

Anyway - try me again and I promise to get it out this time.

NOTE - If you are outside North America, it would be appreciated if you could send a couple of drachmae, dinars, or doubloons to cover the international shipping. In the US, CANADA, or MEXICO, you can buy me a Samuel Adams, LaBatt's, or Tecate' when we meet!

Tim,

Great presentation. If you don't mind I would like to translate it to dutch. That way I can use it when my club has a demonstration somewhere (oh goody, a whole lot of targets and only 2 subs, and they are both mine). I have an old portable Pentium just waiting to be used for this. That is, if you don't mind.

I have just removed the files from my server. I need the space.

I hope everybody has had the chance to download it.
