Bachstelze

Static Submarine modelers unite!

Postby U-Kater » Tue Nov 04, 2003 8:59 am

Would like to build a working modell of a Fa-330 "Bachstelze"
in 35 or 32 scale. With the proper materials and good weather conditions it should be possible to drag it along with full-speed behind the type IX I'm building. However, I do need some scale drawings. Anyone out there to help me out with the plans?

thanx!!

I don't know about drawings, but there are some very good descriptions and specs on http://uboat.net/technical/bachstelze.htm.

Drawings and photos of possible use

A couple ok drawings

Excellent photos of Fa-330 in museum. Especially for the modeler. Click onto photos for blow-ups.

Interesting flying gyro site.

This is not plans for an FA-330 but you could use this as a simple starter gyro to experiment with.

Thanks U-5075,

Especially the walkaround of the aircraft recource center was just what I needed. Togehter with the picture of the Hubschaubermuseum it will be possible to scratchbuild this nice kite. It's going to take a while because the hulls and decks of U-123 and U-805 are my main projects at the moment.
I'll keep you all posted on progress! :D

Hi,

while on holidays in Denmark I found a bachsteltze
hanging in the car museum in Castle Egeskov (on the same island as Odense).

I'll post more details later (when back)

Ok,
Back again,

I could not find anybody knowledgeable about the bachstelze,
so interested people should try to contact the museum themselves (see their website for details).
I also informed uboat.net about this find.

The museum is called VeteranBilen (" oldtimercars ") and is one of three museums on the premises of the castle.

the castle is named Egeskov,
