New Park

Latest video, testing new electrics, new park.

Park is just off Pooler exit (a few miles east on 80) before South Carolina line, heading north from Florida.

There are a group of RC battleshipers that come here. They sink RC battleships with BBs but stay in the shallow part of the park so they can retrieve their ships.

I have a CD video of one of their battles. If I can find their web site I'll post. I am a little hesitant to post one of their videos without their permission. But I'll see if I can contact them or find their web site, they may already have videos posted on youtube.

I'm still looking but came across this for information

http://www.repairfaq.org/filipg/RC/F_Sh ... KOMBAT_010

The local group is out of Statesboro, and the individual I met was a teacher at Georgia Southern.

Still looking.

New Park

Postby jodyae52 » Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:08 am

Hi My wife and I visited Tom Triplett Park Saturday the 14th, and it looks like a perfect venue for a Subreggatta, or at least a regional fun run. Water clarity was good. and access to the water was easy. However the only improvement I would make would be to clean up an area of the bank for easier launching. They do have a floating dock. The lady at the park said that the covered partico/patio could be rented for a reasonable rate. Restrooms and electric outlets and electrical outlets are available. What do you think maybe we could get something going here?

Regards all, Jody :)
