General "Thanks!" & a Q: wood in XXIII tower?

Thanks to all who have answered my recent questions! Now another one:

I know that there were wood slats on the floor and interior sides of Type VII U-boat conning towers, but I've been unable to find pics or drawings of same for Type XXIII. Does anyone know if there was wood in those like in the VII's?

TIA for any help!

I'll see if there's any photos in "vom original" showing this feature. Jeff Larue has a book about the Type XXIIIs in the Black Sea (not sure if that's the correct sea or not...???) that may reveal the answer to this as well...

none of the photos of the XXIIIs in the "vom original" book have wooden slats on the inside walls.
