Signed books.
At the worst, bring your book to next year's regatta. I will sign them.
I have already moved out of my house, (which is what I was doing instead of being at the regatta, dang it!). My departure is too close to have books shipped to me for signing. Where I am going, mail is expensive and unreliable, But the local submarines are interesting.

My copy showed up today. Following is the quickie review I posted on SubPirates:

First pass through review: I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats.

Seriously, some very nice shots in here Wayne. These would have gotten somebody killed not too long ago. Well worth the money. Can't wait for the next installment.

Anyone building an ALFA, AKULA, TYPHOON or BELUGA (and wants to do some serious detailing) needs to pick up a copy.

If I had to change one thing, I would ask for the plans to be enlarged, perhaps as fold-outs. Personally, I would have paid more to get larger, crisper plans.

In summary: Buy this book!

I would have displayed the plans bigger. But I was limited to black and white (many were color) and no fold out avalible with this publisher.
I could do a sideways full page of plans. Maybe I will on the next one I do of different classes.
Right now, I am working on another closely related idea for another book. Stay tuned.
I am glad the book is out and you liked it.

Hey Wayne

Not to add to your "To do list", but maybe you also could publish a book of Russian Submarine Plans?

Just a thought

Have a wonderful trip.

Just got a note from Amazon.com that the copy I ordered on Aug. 12 will not be shipped before early October. Looks as if the publisher did a very limited production run for the first printing. Lousy way for them to get a new book off to a good start!

Tim, did you get your copy yet?

Looking forward to getting it here, to build the ultimate submarine in ultimate detail: Alfa.

Tom,
If you order direct from the printer, it only takes a couple days.

Amazon.co.uk only list it as unavailable ( looks like they can't get it at all ) with an 8 - 10 week wait so far.

I'm going to order it driect if I can.

Great book Wayne
