We have just completed a move of the SubCommittee web site to a new service provider. Just about everything is working correctly....a few minor fixes still need to be applied, but the bulk of the site is working.
You should notice the we have figure out how to add back inthe banner ads to the forum pages as well!
Please let us know if there are any odd behaviors in the site and we'll take care of them.
It was nice not having to look at more #### ads! Now some whiners have pressured you into sticking us with having to look at them again. We had a few brief weeks without them; too bad you had to give in.
Lord ... Shield us from the UltraSensitive!
WIth this new web site it seems to have lost my entire registration, not only the avatar. I had to reregister just to post this reply. Are they going to be reinstated later or do I have to completely reregister all my original info?
Okay.....everyone should find that the speed has been greatly improved for the forums. We ended up replacing the entire system that the forums are running on. Don't know yet what is wrong with the hardware....but we should be okay now.
Those folks who have had trouble logging in these past 2 days, please try again. Don't forget that the user name and password are case sensitive!
p.s. Please let me know if you are having problems! We can't fix what we don't know!
Testing, testing.... All seems OK now. I just logged in (paying attention to case!) without messing around with cookies or cache, and it worked fine. Response time is good too. Looks like the new system did the trick. Thanks for the quick reply.

Seems I have regained my registration info and Avatar, as well as the speed fix seems to have worked well. Thanks for all your hard work and as well to all those that maintain the message boards and the site.
Folks: what George discovered is that (in some cases) if you are seeing a forum with a low number of registered users (like 17?), then the problem is likely due to using a bookmark...which is taking you to the wrong place!
To fix the problem, go to the SC home page (www.SubCommittee.com) and from there access the message boards via the link located on the homepage.
Once at the forum 'homepage', create a new bookmark.
I was one of the people who made the mistake of trying to get to the new board using an old bookmark! I think I drove Jeff LaRue nuts. He said he could see my profile on the server, yet when I logged in very few members showed up. Crazy Ivan (George Protchenko) ask me what site showed up in the URL and bingo, it was the wrong server. Went to the SubCommitte page, clicked on the message board, all is well. Thanks for all the help you guys.
