Hey Rick, how's it going,

I just surfed the web a while and couldn't find a single bad thing about the F-14. So if it's still available I'd like to grab it. Please let me know.

Can continue the transaction off-forum if that's proper nettiquette.

many thx,

Ben Brigham

I had one with all the bells and whissles and it cost way to much for what it did.
No multy model memory ,no digital trim, end point or even servo reverse!

Very bare bones transmiter that has to be upgraded with modules and switches that are very expensive and hence replace if flooded

For the amount of money one would spend to get it up to a decsent operating condition one could buy 2 or 3 top noch state of the art computerized radios that have all the programing systems in the TX and not out on the water.

Up to 30 model memory and so much more its incredible how easy its to set up a complex machine as an RC Sub.

I spent 600.00$ plus new for the F-14 with 2 modules and did not like the set up ,just think about that I would have to multyply the setup X 12 or more,or transfer the setup each and everytime a diferent sub went out! :x

No way!

Needles to say I sold it a short time later and did OK,but right away got a Super robotic radio by Vanteck of some 32 chanels 30 plus model select on 75 MGZ and just change the friq. module and go fly a chopper!

I know the dual side by side thraughtles are nice but on other radios the side corner variable levers work just as well with a nuetral beep indicator, nice.
Also the twin stick component can be installed in other futaba radios and is easy to do on most of them.
We are in the digital age and the F-14 is very backward unfortunatly, now the F-22 or 24 that is sold in erope is a gem but very expensive.

Just my opinion since it was braught up but hay for that price to start with its a deal.

Hmmm. Dave sounds passionate.

Well Rick, for what it's worth it still seems a great deal for my needs. I'm still on board.

thx,

I own a FC-16, which is basically a F14 with a computer tacked on.

To be honest, unless you have a lot of models which you want to control from one transmitter, a computerised set is not that big a deal.

I agree the add on modules from Robbe are pricey. However there are a lot of third party manufacturers out there who sell compatible modules at a much lower cost. If you have some electronics knowledge these sets are also easy and cheap to expand yourself.

Did not mean to torpedo you but just giving an opinion.

Still your radio is a good deal and I am sure it will sell. :D
