I had one with all the bells and whissles and it cost way to much for what it did.
No multy model memory ,no digital trim, end point or even servo reverse!
Very bare bones transmiter that has to be upgraded with modules and switches that are very expensive and hence replace if flooded
For the amount of money one would spend to get it up to a decsent operating condition one could buy 2 or 3 top noch state of the art computerized radios that have all the programing systems in the TX and not out on the water.
Up to 30 model memory and so much more its incredible how easy its to set up a complex machine as an RC Sub.
I spent 600.00$ plus new for the F-14 with 2 modules and did not like the set up ,just think about that I would have to multyply the setup X 12 or more,or transfer the setup each and everytime a diferent sub went out!
Needles to say I sold it a short time later and did OK,but right away got a Super robotic radio by Vanteck of some 32 chanels 30 plus model select on 75 MGZ and just change the friq. module and go fly a chopper!
I know the dual side by side thraughtles are nice but on other radios the side corner variable levers work just as well with a nuetral beep indicator, nice.
Also the twin stick component can be installed in other futaba radios and is easy to do on most of them.
We are in the digital age and the F-14 is very backward unfortunatly, now the F-22 or 24 that is sold in erope is a gem but very expensive.
Just my opinion since it was braught up but hay for that price to start with its a deal.
