1/100 Typhoon for sale

Have any sub 'stuff' to sell or trade?

Postby ThierryC » Fri Aug 08, 2003 5:06 pm

I have a modified Engel Typhoon for sale.
The scale is 1/100. The boat is completely finished and works
perfectly. It has been modified to have a more realistic free flooding holes pattern on the decks, tower and hull. The WTC has been totally redone with a much bigger opening, more screws, a lexan lid and a 4mm o-ring. The lid has a separate opening for the battery so that you don't have to unscrew the entire lid to remove the battery from the
hull to recharge it. The battery is a 6V 12A gel-cell.
The boat has independent running propellers (6 bladded cimitar) using two (included) speed controls (Traxxas XL-1). The speed controls are watercooled.
The boat has working retractable dive planes (they extend/retract and go up and down), working periscopes, running lights. The front dive planes are independant from the rear dive planes. The boat uses two engel pistons to dive, and has the engel failsafes: if the boat goes below 6' the ballast will empty, and if a leak is detected inside the boat the ballast will empty. The boat is also equiped with the engel pitch controller. The submarine is painted gloss black with all the panels and details flat black.
Running time is about 4 hours.
This is for everything inside the boat but the radio and receiver.
You need 9 channels on your radio to run the boat.

I have a lot of pictures of the boat as well as a video.

Asking $2000 OBO

Oh boy.. if I had the money, I'd sure buy it. It would look awsome next to my Ohio class sub... Beautifull work, Sir.

I am afraid that the Carmel run is a bit far for me :-)

Hello. I am very interested in your boat. How can I get more info; pictures and video? Please e-mail me at aphei50@yahoo.com or call me at 562.755.6629. I live in southern California so e-mail would be best.
I have the funds but the shipping may put me over budget.
Thanks, Nathan Boyden
