I am selling a custom 3.1-R cylinder I made for my big Arkmodel 212 submarine.
I sold the boat two years ago before finishing the build but kept the custom cylinder.
The cylinder is used as it was tested twice in the boat.
It ran great.
The standard 3.1-R was modified with a large ballast section that has a hybrid dual ballast design.
Low pressure and high pressure systems to control buoyancy.
The low pressure is vented to the sail and has an air pump and separate flood valve.
This takes you from decks a wash to surface trim.
The high pressure uses a RCABS-R system for underwater control.
The high pressure system has a MPD failsafe.
The main drive motor is a 6/1 geared brushless outrunner system.
The ESC has a high output BEC built in.
It gives lots of torque to swing big props and low current draw.
The cylinder runs on 6-8volts and only requires a receiver to be ready to run.
The cylinder had just been sitting so I took it all apart and replaced all the O ring seals, high pressure, and silicone tubing.
Then reassembled and tested everything.
She is mechanically good as new.
It will require a 5 channel transmitter and receiver to control the cylinder with the hybrid ballast system.
The length is 31” and the diameter is 3 1/8”.
The ballast section is 10.5”x 3” inside giving roughly a 74 CUIN tank.
I am supplying a CD manual on how to install and operate the cylinder.
PM me if you have any questions.
The price is $500.
