Revell Type IIV - details

Static Submarine modelers unite!

The Revell kit is a cool little project to play with. But, I gather as well as it was made, there are some inaccuracies.
Is there somewhere,or will somebody list the differences so that we can have one source to look at for corrections.
The photo etch deck is almost a given. There are some awsome examples posted in the history and now(nice work Boris!). What is out there in the way of upgrades other than the photo etch deck?
This is one that should wind up in an issue of the Report
Open discussion. Go for it:)

Wayne,

....please see Tom Dougherty's Static on the Line column in the upcoming September issue of the SCR.

The most obvious two inaccuracies in the stock Revell kit are:

1) the Uzo is located off-center. It should be located right on the centerline, and

2) the main deck has some areas where the slot pattern is incorrect, principally around the deck gun.

Some have offered the observation that the anchor well is in the wrong location. But after carefully looking at the kit and lots of drawings and photos......I'm not convinced.

I am good for another article for the December issue also. I have more material on the Beluga, with color pictures,if there is an interest.
