I looking to build a model of the USS Blueback from scratch, any suggestions on what material to use? Is Resin the best to use? I'm a beginner, so this will be fun. I'm working on a clay model right now, and planning on making a mold. I have the experience neccessary for the mold making, just not for model making. My mold will be made of plaster, how well does resin work with plaster? Thank you any help you can give me.

Hi michaelssmith

You might wanna take a look at my site, here I describe the process in details, and also describe a few very important details on epoxy. (Types etc.)

The path is: http://hjem.get2net.dk/robse/SSBN/SSBN.htm

The section of special interest is "Building The Hull From Scratch" found in the "The hull" section. Please feel free to ask any Q's that you might have. I'm sure that alot of people here would be more than happy to help, just like I.
