Supercavitation and Deep Angel

Nautilus, Seaview, and more

I found, by accident, a couple of very cool websites dealing with the fact and fiction of supercavitation powered torpedoes and subcraft.

Have a look at Deep Angel website and Supercavitation.
They have some very cool looking graphics and imagery.

Deep Angel is a concept becoming a game and potentially a movie set in a very anime type world where the vehicles of the day are supercavitating vessels. Cool concept and graphics.

Supercavitation.com is more real supercavitation concept focussed and has a conceptual series of animations of a Shkval being fired and the supercavitation bubble forming around it.
Here is the first movie on it
Shkval firing part 1.

Interesting interesting stuff.

I found that website about a year and a half ago. Not much has changed during that time. I don't know if they're having issues coming up with a backer for their projects or just suffer from a lack of impetus for the project, but either way, not much has happened (at least from what's being shown on the site).

I like the Deep Angel. It's a pretty neat looking sub. Very SeaQuestish with an airplane feel.

I really hope that something comes about from that project.
