Hi

I would like to zoom on a very small res. photo (small size too) and keep a fair to good quality to see details. I know I should stop watching the movie "Blade Runner" but does a [color=BLUE]program-that-could-do-that
exist ?

thank you

Well, there are programs like Photoshop that provide the tools to increase the resolution (called resampling) of a photo, but it is of only limited use. In no case, is it really able to add detail...the increase is usually done by doing some form of (weighted) averaging of the pixels surrounding the "new" pixel. The better algorithms do a fairly good job of at least creating smooth transitions.

I've been able to double the size of a photo with reasonable results.

(Blade Runner is a good movie!)
