Scale Shipyard Customers - A question to all SS customers

Place for general submarine conversation

I am in the process of purchasing a hull, and I am smitten with the Ben Franklin. Scale Shipyard has one listed on their web site. And being the cautious consumer I am. I would just like to hear what others think about this comapny's hulls before I purchase. Any input?

Good day:
I have a SSY 1/96 Ben Franklin (as well as many other SSY hulls) and am quite pleased with the level of detail and configuration. Any of them can be built into fantastic models.

Lee has really turned his business around for the better in the past few months, he has ironed out many supply (and other!) problems which resulted in many many negative postings in the past.

My opinion: GET ONE!!! :-)

Best wishes, Matt

John:

I have a SSBN hull set here in the box waiting for a home to go to. I do not have the space to keep a lot of hulls in stock and with 130 hulls in production the instock status will not stay the same for long.

I have had the chance to look over Lee's SSBN and I wouldn't mind having one myself. It is well done and would be a great addition to any fleet.

I have bought several of Lees Hulls and have been completly satisfied with the quality of his kits. I purchased The SSBN Ben Franklin and it was fun to build and even better to look at when completed My reccomendation is to buy it as you will be very satisfied with your purchase. Excellent quality on the hulls. Lee is an honest man with integrity and your transaction will be safe
