Strange Virginia-class tail fin?

Postby steh2o » Fri Dec 06, 2013 5:42 am

Hello, while I was looking for USS Nautilus pics, I found this:
http://www.williammaloney.com/Aviation/SubmarineUSSNautilus/NautilusExterior/pages/10SubmarineGoingToSea.htm
Tough I'm no expert. it seems like an unidentified PCU-Virginia class (I'd bet on 776 -USS Hawaii, the pic bing dated 14 january 2007), now am'I totally blind or the tail fin is yellow with black patterns on it? Does anybody have some more info/opinions about it?
Regards,

Assuming that that is the Hawaii, perhaps what you are seeing is her "pineapple"
