Finally. 8 years running subs and I finally have a model that is trimmed right and runs how they're supposed to. Here is my Ohio running in perfect trim. Regatta was a great time. It was a blast to see everyone again.
I spent quite a bit of time watching Pete run his boomer. I must say it is, by far, the nicest handling boomer I have ever seen. The internal engineering is first rate, and the finish on this boat is stunning!
I sold my Seawolf at last year's regatta. So I finally got around to building my own Virginia class model which was one of the first hulls I pulled years ago. It ran well too, although there is no depth control in it yet, so it porpoises unless it goes the exact right speed. Problem is, I think only it knows what that exact right speed is. I can only duplicate it by accident. Here are some picks of it running at the SubRegatta.
