how to line up a prop shaft in a nuke?

Hey guys,
any easy way to line up the prop shaft in the tail of a nuke hull? I know you pour resin in to lock in the stuffing tube, but how do you get it straight? U-boats and fleet boats are easy, they don't have to be perfect, just have to match the opposite side to look right... lol.. thanks Jeff Jones.
one things for sure, they won't be expecting us......... S/C#258

Use cardboard or a chunk of foam and a long shaft the same diameter of your prop shaft. Use a compass to draw out the interior diameter of the hull (the widest inside diameter, in the middle of the hull) and then cut the circle out. The middle of your circle will have a hole cut out to the diameter of your prop shaft. Place the bearing on the aft end of the rod and place the other through your circle and place inside the hull, it should be perfectly centered. The bearing you can hold in place, and seal the gaps with modeling clay and even tack into place with some CA and baking soda. You should be able to pour up to your desired level now with epoxy or whatever plastic you are using. Make sure you grease the shaft first though with vaseline before setting it!

Hope this helps,

Captain Ramius: You're afraid of our fleet. Well, you should be. Personally, I'd give us one chance in three. More tea anyone?
