edit feature on the posts

Have an idea for the web site?

Can we get a button that would allow us to edit a post after it has been posted.

Hi!

An 'edit' capability is currently available to SubCommittee members only.......

(It's a group configuration thing, so it's easy to change.)

Hi Jeff:

I strongly suggest that this be left that way, there has got to be something in here that is for members only. ???

Hi Lee,

That's partly the reason for it being that way. When we installed the forum software, everything was more-or-less left at the default settings. Over time, we've been making adjustments to the the forum....mostly with the intent of giving the members of the SubCommittee enhanced capabilities.

I don't understand why being able to edit your posts should be just limited to members, if someone makes a typo, they should be able to correct it.

I can understand the webpages being for members, maybe even a members only section with all the subcommittee reports avaible for download.

It ss jest that oui membrrs tend to be poor splelers and knead the eddit feeture moore than uthers.

Seriously - think about what you are saying... You aren't a SubCommittee member but are complaining about a feature you don't get to use - on a website that SubCommittee members have paid for?

:p

John,

Your membership is on its way to the membership chairman. ThorDesign paid for your membership and now you will have the privileges the other members have.

Thanks Matt!

Now as a member of the subcommittee, I still think the edit feature should be given to everyone. One reason it saves people from having to post more and wasting bandwidth which drives of costs of the website.

Didn't mean to cause trouble here, just trying to improve the place.

Strongly disagree! "If you pays your dues you gets to use the goodies." To an Arizonan, that's like saying we ought to give illegal aliens driver's licenses, free medical care and the keys to a new car. Leave it like is, members only!
