Up close and personal with the Collins Class

This is the place to read all about submarines in the real world!

One of my friends back home in Australia sent me an email about a TV series that aired recently called "Submariners" which places a camera crew on the HMAS Rankin during it's initial 6 month deployment in the RIMPAC Exercise. The series is available on Region 4 (PAL) DVDs, which I received today. I have just finished watching it and it is awesome. I can't believe the level of access they gave the camera crew on this boat and the cinematography is superb. Over the weekend I will look to capture a small sample and link to it.

Cheers

Hi Collins Class. I'm from Melbourne AU and watched that show too.
Here's a link to a bit of it that shows the control room etc and some old video of the Russian Kirsk. It's 4 minutes long.
