USS BOWFIN: PEARL HARBOR AVENGER

ON THE HISTORY CHANNEL®

Airing Monday, December 19th at 5:00 p.m. ET/PT

NEW YORK, NY DECEMBER 14—Lou Reda Productions in collaboration with The History Channel® is proud to present USS BOWFIN: PEARL HARBOR AVENGER, a gripping documentary portraying the great career of the famed WWII submarine. The show, weaving the personal stories of Bowfin crewmen, authentic battle footage, and realistic reenactments shot aboard the sub, airs Monday December 19th at 5:00 p.m. ET on The History Channel.

The Bowfin's veteran crew members relate the saga of SS-287 all the way from her launching to her beautiful permanent berth at Pearl Harbor. Along the way come chilling stories of convoy attacks and daring missions through minefields into the Sea of Japan.

Re-enactors from USS Bremerton (SSN-698) come aboard Bowfin to lend their talents and Navy expertise to this classic story of the Silent Service.

The Bowfin's story represents all of the amazing feats of the US Navy's WWII submarine force that sank over 5 million tons of enemy shipping and over 60 percent of all destroyed enemy tonnage. USS BOWFIN: PEARL HARBOR AVENGER is a grand memorial to the 52 US submarines lost, and the over 3,500 men in their crews now on "eternal patrol."
