This is the place to read all about submarines in the real world!

A friend of mine does ship surveys and was fortunate enough to get to go to St. Petersburg Russia to look at the Russian SUBMARINE D-2 "NARODOVOLETS" a Foxtrot boat and the famous Russian battleship the "AURORA".

The D-2 was opened as a museum and memorial September 2, 1994. It's the only survivor from World War II in the Baltic. Originally, it was a class of six(?) submarines. Only two others survived the war.

I have a number of photos photos posted on my website. GO to and once you are inside the site, scroll down to "What's New". It is the only item listed for Jan 1, 04
