Sending Private Messages

Postby Bill Harris » Mon Nov 30, 2009 11:42 am

The past couple of days I've had a problem sending PMs. I Compose the PM to a member, click on the "Submit/Send" Button, another window opens confirming that the PM has been posted, but I see that the PM is now in the Outbox directory, which suggests to me that the message is still waiting to be sent. I have about 10 (of 50) or 20% messages in my Inbox. I don't recall this being a problem before.

Suggestions? Thanks,

as far as I know the message stays in the outbox until the recipient opens it.

Yup...messages move to the sent folder when they are read by the recepient. Think of it as a built-in 'read confirmation'.....

So it does. Got your PM, Ronald.

I'm accustomed to email clients with the "Outbox" as the "Pending to be Sent" and it threw me that the msg was still in the PM Outbox.

All is well. Thanks!
