Know of an upcoming modeling event?

Woo Hoo!!! Nice SubRegatta weather coming!

Postby TMSmalley » Mon Aug 13, 2007 9:21 am

Understanding that it is a little hard for the weatherguys to predict the climate 5-7 days out - it still looks like we have a good weekend coming for SubRegatta 2007!

We have a good turnout preregistered as well - about 70 or so - and a nice pile of prizes for the Saturday and Sunday SubRaffles!~ (if you haven't registered yet, please do so by emailing subregatta2007@yahoo.com and tell us:
1) Your Name
2) Your city and state
3) Your subron affilliation if any

...and bring your rain poncho and a plastic bag to cover your transmitter...
In the Midwest, the weather can be quite fickle. Plan (bring clothes) for cool and hot and rainy weather.

Are you guys kidding me?

This is TUESDAY!! And you think the weather guessers have a clue what the weather will be like 4 and 5 days from now? Those goofs can't accurately predict sunrise.

You believe those forcasts? I've got a nice bridge for sale to show you. :P

Hey BD,
Jim is right. I've heard forecasts for sunny all day and it's pouring cats and dogs outside for the past hour! Even a sightless person can stick his arm out the door and feel rain. They need to stop playing with their computer models and get real. Look out the window.

Well, you guys who decide to sit this SubRegatta out really messed up. Son's wedding? Bah! Daughter's graduation - fooey!!! Expensive gas - humbug! This promises to be the best SubRegatta yet!

Great venue, great guys, cool subs and great Saturday Night Sub Seminar at 7 PM at the hotel. THE BIG name in electronics - Rick Galinson is doing a SubElectronics for Dummies talk that NOBODY should miss! Rick builds special effects for the movie industry and NOBODY in the RC sub world knows more about it than he does.

Also - Kevin McLeod and DM3 are presenting on their SubMagic. Skip Asay is coming and even though he doesn't know it - we are going to pick his brains dry - HAHAHAHA!!!

If you thought you would sit this one out - DUH!

This is my last post before the event. I have a 675 mile drive to make Thursday starting at 4 AM so I can be there to help set up on Friday morning - If you are coming, you're the smart ones - see you at the BIG SHOW!!!
