Does anybody out there make a hull kit for one of the early SSN's, like the Skate class boats, or maybe the first SSN, the Nautilus? A hull on about 1/96 scale would be nice, if such a thing exists.

Hi Chuck,
here is a photograph of a 1/72nd Skate hull I am working on at present.Its great to see some interest being taken in the early nuclear boats. They certainly have lots of "Firsts" to their names.

Dennis Deboer at www.deboerhulls.com makes Nautilus, SSN 571 in 1/48th. Beautiful hull and deck, I believe there is Meriman in it.

Brian Starkes is making one in 1/96 as a kit. I think his build is on this site. Last I saw it was getting close to being finished. Here is his member's page:
