Well this is one I can't take credit for the name.
Mr. Jeff LaRue coined the term.
I expanded on an idea we both had for controlling piston tanks.
I ran it by Jeff and he said he has been using a system like this and called it dial-a-depth.
It is very simple and just uses a set marking to give the control pot a point to reference from.
A datum I guess.
In my version I installed a rotary pot on my Multiplex EVO that has a very wide liner travel.
I also installed a wheel under the pot that will rotate and has three points marked on it.
0% 50% 100% piston travel.
Basically I will use it to set let’s say decks-a-wash for any given body of water.
Once that point is set I will know if I turn the dial to that point the sub will
(should) be at decks-a-wash.
It will just give me a better indication of where to set the tank volume.
This is all new to me but Jeff says it works well for him.
I will let you know how I make out.
Jeff said he will not get me for copywrite infringement on this.
