The SubCommittee Report editorial staff is looking for members who are willing to help out with the proofing/editing of articles submitted for publication in the SCR.
• Volunteer to review one to two articles, once every three months, for grammar, spelling and flow.
• Basic grammar knowledge of the English language
• Mac or PC, MicroSoft Word
• Internet connection
• Would like to get a commitment for at least 4 issues, but any help is welcome.
Process consists of me posting the proposed articles for each upcoming issue of the SubCommittee Report to a SubCommittee file download site.
Editors/proofers get notified by email that they are ready to be checked.
Editors/proofers choose an article they’d like to edit and proof, and download it.
After editing and proofing, revised files are uploaded back to the site.
Details on downloading and uploading files will be explained to those who offer to help. It’s very easy to work with this upload site, so don’t think you need to be a computer wiz to do this.
As Tim Smalley mentioned in the “SubCommittee articles wanted” sticky, those who help can earn discounts towards their next SubCommittee membership dues.
Contact me by e-mail at email@example.com if you are interested or have further questions.
