The Election Committee, per its charter in the Articles of Incorporation, now requests Candidates for Office from the membership.
If you or someone you know is interested in being a Candidate for one of the three Offices, please contact The Chairperson of the Election Committee – Don Osler. Don can be reached by e-mail at email@example.com.
Nominations will require a formal nomination request and a nomination “second” by e-mail or post. Nomination by telephone is not acceptable.
All Candidates for Office are expected to be members in good standing with The SubCommittee. All persons elected to Office are expected to remain in good standing for the duration of their term in office.
Ideally, each member who wishes to run for Office will have access to the Internet as that is a principle means for the officers to communicate and transact SubCommittee business. Candidates are also required to submit a short write-up that describes who they are, their qualifications, and why they are running for office. These writes-up must be submitted and received by the Election Committee no later than October 15, 2014 in order that they can be published in the December 2014 issue of the SubCommittee REPORT.
Election balloting will be conducted online from a special web page address to be provided in the December issue of the SubCommittee REPORT.
All who wish to have their vote count in this election must (a) be a member in good standing for the 2014 membership year, and (b) have their ballot received before December 31, 2014.
