The Subcomon gang give the traditional Canadian cottage salute. There were 11 skippers out with 18 boats a great two days.

Missing from the above photo was the "Saturday" only crowd which included.

The Akula brothers - Bob Warburton and Ken Huntington
The Oscar guy - Kevin McLeod
and
Hamilton's favorite TV personality - Bob Cowan

Steve,

Thanks for the kind words, actually seeing you, Wally, and Jeff in the water with your subs working made the event worth it. As Steve mentioned I did manage to get some photo's and video taken. I have to say I really like this one ...

I guess missing the group shot is a fitting penalty for taking off early. :;): I really enjoyed the opportunity to sit and chat with all the Ottawa gang- I can't wait to meet up with you all again.

Ben- Thanks again, not only for having us all up at your place, but also for all the fantastic underwater photography. You da man!

Hey Kev it was great to see this big beast in action! What impressed me most is it sits so nice on the surface with just the right freeboard yet dives beautifully. Fantastic job!

I'm just glad you guys made it. I have more fun playing with my toys when other folks are around. Besides was getting bored of taking photos of my boats.

Bob e-mail me your snail mail address so I can get some stuff off to you.

I've made updates locally on PC for my website, so hopefully will get it on-line later this month with photo's and video.

Just as an FYI, Trenchant vs Oscar ... Oscar came out on top.

Brits getting some close up Intel on the Oscar.

Oscar making the Brits pay the price ... fire one !

The above stills were taken from the video captured from Kevin's WTC camera mounted on the conning tower.

I claim the right for a re-match.

Thanks Steve! I deliberately went light when I layed up the 'above waterline' portion of the upper hull half, thankfully it seems to have paid off. There's something very characteristic about a Russian sub sitting high in the water...

BTW folks, don't believe a thing that Ben says! Well, at least about my OSCAR beating hit Trenchant. He could'a torn me six ways from Sunday, but the intoxication of having someone else caching his subs on video took it's toll. Never the less I'm always game for a rematch!
